These Shoes Were Made For Walking Down the Aisle

You’ve picked your dress, made hair and makeup reservations, and now you’re left with one major decision: What shoes you’re going to wear to complement your dream wedding gown. Choosing the perfect footwear for your big day is not an easy task, especially with the vast array of options available on the market. With that in mind, Rami Kadi and Poise Design‘s Emma Boutros aim to make your decision easier by unveiling a new collaboration of fairytale-worthy bridal footwear. “The shoes complete the bride’s total look. Ask Cinderella, she’ll tell you it all comes down to what kind of shoes you’re wearing,” muses the Lebanese couturier on the importance of wedding shoes.

The collaboration is a capsule collection boasting six playful styles in varying designs to suit every taste. Though, you won’t find the traditional, white satin pumps here. Instead, there’s a pair of Swarovski crystal-encrusted platforms with customizable ankle straps, dazzling stilettos with buckles, and metallic platforms dreamed up with the finest Italian leathers. The pièce de résistance in the collection is the “Amore”; silver, gem-encrusted pumps with block heels, a PVC strap, and a Swarovski-embellished buckle around the ankles that will make even the biggest minimalist say “I do”.

The collaboration was born when Kadi, who specializes in wedding gowns and eveningwear, decided he wanted to take his bridal range to the next level in order to provide his #RamiKadiBride with a complete experience, from her veil down to her shoes. The “Aha!” moment came when he presented his spring 2018 couture collection in Paris, a range of princess-worthy gowns with ticker-tape embroideries, and clients asked to have their names or hashtags such as “bride to be” embroidered along the edges of their bridal veils.

It’s not the first time that Kadi and Boutros have worked together, with the duo first joining forces back in 2014. Meanwhile, the Lebanese footwear designer, who launched her label in 2011, has also created pieces for Mohammed Ashi and Roni Helou, and is a regular collaborator with DDFC/Vogue Fashion Prize winner Hussein Bazaza.
