Ralph Masri is celebrating ten years of his eponymous high jewelry brand—contemporary diamond and gemstone-encrusted pieces adorned by Queen Rania of Jordan, Taylor Swift, and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, to name a few. The 2016 Vogue Fashion Prize high jewelry winner is celebrating with a collaboration with Sotheby’s. For three months, Masri is the jeweler-in-residence at the Sotheby’s Dubai gallery in Downtown’s DIFC district. “To have my work showcased at a prestigious institution like Sotheby’s is an honor and a dream come true. And, for it to be in Dubai where it all started for me makes it all the more special,” says Masri. Paul Redmayne, Senior Vice President of Luxury at Sotheby’s, who launched the series enthuses, “Ralph’s work is a fusion of tradition and modernity, stunningly crafted to reflect his Middle Eastern heritage. His collections speak to his passion for storytelling, taking inspiration from his travels, from cultural reference points, and from his personal experiences. We are delighted to be showcasing Ralph Masri’s works in our Sotheby’s Dubai gallery as we continue our popular focus on contemporary jewelry designers.” He furthers that his collections infuse feelings of pride in its owners, “His audience feels the pride that Ralph has for his roots; it’s a pleasure to hare his creations with our clients and a wider audience here in Dubai.” The showcase runs until mid-August, with the jewelry available to purchase on Sotheby’s website.
