Queen Rania Makes a Case for Monochrome Dressing in New York

Queen Rania has had a very busy week.

After attending Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in London on September 19, the royal flew straight to New York, where she made a public appearance on September 20 for the 2022 Concordia Annual Summit.

Given the sombre nature of her London trip, it came as no surprise that Queen Rania was seen in head-to-toe black for both, the funeral, and while speaking about Her Majesty in interviews. But it seems like the monochrome palette seems to be winning her favor even in the Big Apple. For her outing, the royal opted for an elegantly draped white blouse featuring an ebony print, which she tucked into a black pencil skirt. A subtle pop of color was brought into her fail-safe look by way of a taupe edition of Moynat’s Flori Taurillon bag. Take a closer look below.

Queen Rania styled her outfit with her favorite beauty look

Just like her love for white dresses, Queen Rania has an obvious favorite when it comes to her beauty looks. More often than not, the royal is seen attending engagements sporting a natural, rosy makeup look, and her latest outing in New York saw her going down the same path once again. To add a little drama to her otherwise muted look, she had her chestnut locks styled in voluminous waves, and accessorized her black-and-white ensemble with elegant jewelry pieces, including a ring.

For your next formal dinner or work celebration, follow in Queen Rania’s footsteps and opt for black and white separates to create a look that’s equal parts polished and feminine. A bag in a muted palette, like her Moynat pick, promises to work perfectly for just about every occasion.
