HM Queen Rania‘s on-duty wardrobe is well-loved for its traditional kaftans just as much as it is appreciated for its modern dresses. On September 14, the world witnessed another chic contemporary number from the royal, which is sure to influence the work outfits of those who look to her for style inspiration.

Visiting Paris to meet French president Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, Queen Rania made a case for soft summer hues in a baby blue dress by Brandon Maxwell. The half-sleeved shirt-style piece came with a collar and a draped bodice and was cinched at the waist with a thick belt in a matching color, before flowing into pleats and a flared hem that ended at a modest length around her ankles.

The 52-year-old paired her ensemble with muted accessories, including an off-white Fendi bag with an embroidered Bird of Paradise, and a pair of white patent leather Jimmy Choo pumps, which the royal has worn on multiple occasions outings. Going for a classic beauty look to compliment her outfit, Queen Rania’s makeup featured her fail-safe soft smoky eye and a nude lip combo, while her hair was blow-dried to add volume to her signature waves.

The royal was accompanied by her husband HM King Abdullah II and newly-engaged son Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan on the official visit to Elysée Palace.
