HM Queen Rania of Jordan is seeing summer out in covetable style. To attend the 15th anniversary of the Children’s Museum in Amman, the royal stepped out in an outfit that was equal parts polished and fun—a line the 52-year-old often treads when the occasion calls for it.
Her ensemble for the day featured pieces from AZ Factory’s collaboration with South African designer and LVMH Prize winner Thebe Magugu. Emblazoned with a playful trompe-l’œil leaky pen print, her white button-up was tucked into a matching skirt with an asymmetrical handkerchief hem, which came dip-dyed in a vibrant cobalt blue. Given that Queen Rania often champions sustainable designers, and has a keen eye for special pieces, it’s no surprise that her separates were made from recycled fabric, and hold a bit of fashion history. The brilliant blue shade seen on the shirt and skirt is Magugu’s nod to his home country as well as a 1997 Guy Laroche look designed by late Alber Elbaz.

To complete her outfit, Queen Rania chose a pair of vintage Dior pumps in a matching blue color and ombre perspex heels. First seen on the runway in 2015, the clear heels were previously worn by the royal in 2019 to meet with the members of the Jordan Entrepreneurship and Innovation Association.
The 15th anniversary of the Children’s Museum saw Queen Rania inaugurate its newly upgraded Technology and Communications Exhibition. Founded by the royal in 2007, the museum is an educational non-profit organization that has benefited over 900,000 students from public, private, and UNRWA schools since its inception.
