Shortly after celebrating a fourth wedding reception in Belmont, North Carolina, newlyweds Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas flew to Los Angeles to attend the second annual Learning Lab Ventures Winter Gala at the Beverly Hills Hotel over the weekend. For the occasion, the Bollywood beauty chose multi-colored gown from Elie Saab‘s Spring 2019 collection. The sleeveless, form-fitting design featured a halterneck and lace cut-outs throughout. She accessorized the column gown with David Webb jewels and a black clutch, also from the Lebanese couturier. The dazzling gown recalled the sparkling Elie Saab resort 2019 design with an interlocked halter-neck, multi-hued sequin stripes, and a belted waist, she wore at the launch of Bumble, a social networking app Chopra invests in.
Meanwhile, Jonas looked dapper in a black tuxedo teamed with a white shirt and a black bowtie. The American pop singer later took to Instagram to crack a joke about the occasion: “Walking into wedding reception 100047 like… Haha just kidding,” he wrote. “So happy to celebrate our friends @armiehammer and @elizabethchambers and the amazing work they have done with @learninglabventures,” he posted, referring to the evening’s honorees, Elizabeth Chambers and Armie Hammer. Chopra later took to the stage to present the pair with the NextGen Philanthropic Leaders award. Coincidentally, Chopra met the evening’s honorees the same night she met her now-husband, the 2017 Met Gala, she later revealed to Hollywood Reporter.
Chopra has a well-documented love affair with Arab designers. Memorably, the Indian-born actor chose a mini dress from the Spring 2018 haute couture collection of Georges Chakra for her bachelorette party in Amsterdam in November.
