Indian actress Priyanka Chopra is known for turning heads and for making headlines for her bold fashion choices and, her outfit of choice yesterday, March 19, was no exception.

The “Isn’t It Romantic” lead took the streets of New York on her way to The View restaurant to promote her new YouTube special, “If I Could Tell You Just One Thing.” For the occasion, she opted for a golden jacket plucked from Emirati designer, Sheikha Madiyah Al Sharqi’s Spring/Summer 19 collection.

Coordinating colors and patterns, Chopra wore a cream sheer cowl-neck sweater, yellow snakeskin pants, before completing her ensemble with the brocade-printed longline jacket in ornate gold.

It makes sense that the Indian-born actress would pick a jacket from Sheikha Madiyah Al Sharqi’s collection, as the inspiration for her collection stemmed from Former First Lady of the United States, Jacqueline Kennedy’s trip to India, which took place in March 1962. The references can be seen in the range’s use of pastel hues and mod-inspired silhouettes.

Previously, the 36-year-old leading lady and wife of singer Nick Jonas, showed her love for the Middle East by donning one of Eli Saab’s creations to the Learning Lab Ventures Winter Gala, which took place at the Beverly Hills Hotel in February 2019. Proving to be a fan of the Lebanese couturier, she also opted to wear one of his pieces (a stunning black gown), to the 2019 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, which also took place this past February.
