Priyanka Chopra wore a simple black gown with an old-timey twist.
On Tuesday, June 7, Priyanka Chopra stepped out in Paris for a Bulgari event in an incredibly dramatic reimagining of a wardrobe staple: a black dress. Chopra’s simple black gown had a surprising but effective Elizabethan era twist.
The dress, from designer Robert Wun, is a fitted, sleeveless black dress with a plunging V-neck. Sewed into the dress are large white ruffles which frame her head like an Elizabethan collar, and cascade all the way down to the hem. Chopra paired the buzzy gown with equally eye-catching silver Bulgari jewelry with green gems, including a statement necklace and matching earrings. She wore her hair in an effortless and relaxed updo, leaving some pieces down to frame her face. She opted for glamorous but simple makeup, including subtle eyeliner and a glossy neutral pink lip.

Chopra, who is working with stylist Law Roach (one of his other notable clients is fashion icon Zendaya) wrote in a caption about the dress on Instagram, “It’s never just black and white.…”
