In their very first family portraits, Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa’s baby, Princess Iman, is seen enjoying a nap while her parents cradle her. See all the pictures below.
Just days after the birth of Princess Iman bint Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, new parents Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II and Princess Rajwa Al Hussein made their first public appearance as a family with their little princess.
Last evening, the couple were seen checking out of their hotel, and greeted well wishers with big smiles as they made their way home. Prince Hussein carried Princess Iman in a black car seat, while holding Princess Rajwa’s hand to guide her out of the building.
For her very first post-baby outing, Princess Rajwa looked elegant as ever in a summery floral dress that’s quickly becoming a top pick among fans of the Jordanian royal family. Created by Greek designer Evi Grintela, Princess Rajwa’s maxi shirt dress (known as the Valerie Long) featured a soothing blue pattern of palm trees and exotic flowers, and came with a sharp collar and waist belt for added structure. Proving that less really is more, the new mom skipped on heavy jewelry and instead, wore her breezy maxi with classic white sneakers. Leaving her hair open in flowy locks, Princess Rajwa opted for minimal makeup.
While video footage of the couple exiting the hospital has already taken over the internet, the royal parents later also shared their own family portraits — which show little Princess Iman’s face to the world for the first time. In the first picture, Princess Hussein and Princess Rajwa beam with pride as Princess Iman, dressed in a white onesie and matching beanie, enjoys a nap. In the second, the couple, absolutely smitten with their baby, admire her while she sleeps in her father’s arms wrapped in a white and pink blanket.
In his post, Prince Hussein shared a note of gratitude for all who have supported him and Princess Rajwa during this special time. “He who does not thank people does not thank God,” the royal wrote. “Heartfelt thanks to the dedicated personnel of the Royal Medical Services for their exceptional care over Rajwa and Iman during the past few days.”
