Preview Amal Al Mulla’s On-Point Ramadan Collection

Snap the pencil and ink into your diary March 11th because the house of Amal Al Mulla launches its Limited Edition Ramadan collection at the Ataya Exhibition, before landing in stores early April 2018. “We took a different approach for the new Ramadan season,” Al Mulla tells Vogue. “[We are] celebrating the Holy Month and expressing individuality through vibrant colors and fabric manipulation, not to mention the intricate details each piece possesses that is timeless, regal, and luxurious at the same time.” The collection is not just for Ramadan, it’s will find relevancy in all seasons to follow too.

“With Ramadan falling during the summer time, the color selections we used this season ranges from tangerine oranges, striking blues, luxurious browns, shades of greens, burnt orange and luxurious browns where we used color blocking as well to enhance the designs,” Al Mulla tells Vogue.me. The collection feature Capiz, a natural mother of pearl shell in two color ways, a new addition that contrasts with the metal rivets that have fast become the brand’s signature across collections.

Beloved of Dana Al Khalifa from the Overdressed and Acsia, the Bahraini brand has flourished since its launch in 2014 and it’s this transseasonal versatility that has found its way into the region’s coolest closets. Conservative and yet on-point with fashion’s penchant for exaggerated sleeves and the exaggerated manipulation of cloth. Expect the draped and ruched accents of these gowns to chime with the trend barometer through to Fall.

Amal Al Mulla Ramadan collection with be available in Saks Fifth Avenue, Bahrain in April 2018.
