Traveling social club Prada Mode arrived in Dubai for its eighth edition for two eventful days filled with music, art, food, and insightful talks. From November 9-10, ICD Brookfield Place in DIFC was transformed into an immersive installation named Pharmacy by famed artist and friend of the fashion house Damien Hirst.
Open to members only, the first day saw a conversation program curated by cultural strategist and art advisor Myrna Ayad, activities including a spin painting workshop, and an opening dinner followed by a party. The painting workshop continued into the second day with members also participating in engaging discussions on multiculturalism’s impact on architecture, a survey of 21st-century patronage, and the initiatives, activities, and artists that patrons support.
Members included some of the biggest names in the UAE’s fashion industry and art and cultural landscape, including Wael Al Awar, Khadija Al Bastaki, Nora Al Dabal, Afra Al Dhaheri, HE Alia Al Qassimi, Abdulla Al Turki, Myrna Ayad, Adam Bakri, Laila Bin Braik, Mattar Bin Lahej, Anas Bukhash, Benedetta Ghione, Vilma Jurkute, Nadine Kanso, Brendan McGetrick, Hashem Montasser, Yara Mustafa, Sunny Rahbar, Khalid Shafar, Azza Slimene, Andriah Tayeh, among others.
