Milan Fashion Week is officially underway with day one wrapping in a flurry of backstage carousels and surprise collaborations, but more of the season’s most coveted collections are still to come. Prada‘s Fall/Winter 2020 presentation today, February 20 is set to be yet another runway spectacle that is sure to take an unsuspecting front-row to another dimension of fashion. Named “Premonition”, Miuccia Prada’s upcoming show has been strictly hush-hush with no hints at what’s to come, except a technicolor invite that is reminiscent of a futuristic magic eight-ball.
In Fall 2019, Prada presented a series of “Frankensteinish” designs featuring dark oversized suits, lace pencil skirts, and chunky boots in a gothic romantic manner that encapsulates the heritage house’s longstanding ethos. Considering this previous debut welcomed a star-studded international lineup including Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne, and Kaia Gerber among a few others of this generation’s biggest names in the industry, we are expecting to catch a glimpse of a few familiar faces once again, especially since many have already touched down in the Italian fashion capital. However, you’ll have to tune in later and see for yourselves since Prada is known for always storing a few surprises up its no-nonsense sleeves during one of the most-anticipated fashion weeks of the year.
