Not too long ago, Prada launched Eternal Gold: a collection that pushed the boundaries of jewelry making by becoming the first truly sustainable fine jewelry collection by a global luxury brand using 100% certified recycled gold. Now, the fashion house is taking things to the next level by decking out its gold treasures with diamonds. But these aren’t just any sparklers. For its pieces, Prada is favoring unique-cut, laboratory-created diamonds.
The newest jewelry line on offer from the luxury fashion house features eight of Prada’s original Eternal Gold silhouettes in yellow and white 100% recycled gold, but with a twist. Not only will these pieces be embedded with jewels, but each diamond in the collection will showcase what’s now being called the “Prada cut”. In simple terms, each of the diamonds used in the new collection come in a triangular shape that follows the exact same proportions as Prada’s iconic and universally recognized logo.
Ranging from 0.8 carats to 5.5 carats, each Prada Cut diamond is, of course, 100% certified via the GIA (Gemological Institute of America), and in true Prada fashion, has been created following the highest quality standards. Expect nothing but the very best in terms of cut, color and clarity from each stone, along with incredible exclusivity — each lab-grown Prada diamond will be made to order upon its client’s request and specifications, creating a couture-like experience with jewelry. Add to that the fact that each piece of jewelry is handmade by skilled artisans in Italy, and you’ve got the perfect blend of science and craft at your fingertips.
In the latest pages of Vogue Arabia, Prada’s sparkling new additions take center stage in a slew of covetable creations. Triangular rocks serve as accents on the much-loved Snake bracelets and rings, as well as the Prada Triangle mono-earrings and Prada Heart earrings. If you’re one for statement-making pieces, don’t miss the Degradé chain necklace, of which every triangular chain links comes doused in diamonds — 40 carats in all. Take a closer look before you decide on your next investment piece.
