Nora Attal Steals the Show at Men’s Fashion Week

JW Anderson Fall 2019 Menswear. Indigital

Men’s Fashion Week may technically be for the boys, but it’s the women who are turning heads. One of them being Nora Attal, who stole the show at JW Anderson’s Fall 2019 Menswear in Paris on Wednesday. The Moroccan-British beauty had not one, but two turns on the runway, first emerging on the catwalk donning a striped knit paired with grey sweatpants before slipping into a long, fringed dress topped with a medieval hood.

The former Vogue Arabia cover star has a longstanding relationship with JW Anderson. In fact, the 19-year-old was first scouted by Jonathan Anderson, founder of the J.W. Anderson label, and shot a campaign for the British fashion house in 2014 before she had ever taken her first steps down a catwalk. Since then, the brunette beauty, who is based in London and signed to Viva Model Management, has worked with a number of renowned designers and stylists and walked the runway for renowned fashion houses including Fendi, Chanel, Prada, Moschino, and Dior, to name but a few.

And JW Anderson wasn’t the only catwalk she dominated during Men’s Fashion Week. The model also strutted down the runway for Jeremy Scott’s Moschino showcase in Milan, sporting a towering, Nefertiti-esque wig. Meanwhile, other models of Arab descent to make an impact during Men’s Fashion Week, include Gigi Hadid, who made her Prada debut, as well as Imaan Hammam and Bella Hadid who stunned at the first Versace show under the new ownership of Michael Kors Holdings Limited on Sunday.

With Haute Couture Week set to kick off in Paris on January 21, we expect to see the rising star light up even more runways. In the meantime, we look back at some of Attal’s best turns on the catwalk in the gallery below.
