Nicki Minaj knows how to make a fashion statement in Versace. Just last week, she sat front row at the Italian label’s Spring 2019 show during Milan Fashion Week in a look that was as bold as it gets, and this week, the Vogue Arabia cover star upped the ante yet again with another ensemble plucked from the Italian brand. Twirling in a marble hotel lobby in Dubai, the Barbie Tingz singer sported a flashy, three-piece ensemble that boasted Versace’s signature baroque print, a look that was plucked from Donatella Versace‘s archival Spring 2018 runway tribute to her late brother.
Minaj, who is in the UAE with her rumored new boo, Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton (eagle-eyed fans spotted his reflection in the mirrored elevator doors), has a long history with the Italian label. Who could forget her most epic Versace moment at the 2012 Grammy Awards, when the rapper emerged on the red carpet wearing a heavy, crimson-colored Versace cape? More recently, (ie. just two days ago), she was photographed wearing a tight jumpsuit that accentuated all of her curves, and recalled the ensemble bearing a neon print of a retro Vogue magazine she sported earlier this month.
While we have yet to find out what Minaj has planned for her stay in Dubai, we’re certain that whatever it is, she’ll be doing it in style.
