Three Fifty Nine Fall 2018

This year at London Fashion Week, the Emirates will standing side by side with renowned brands from all across the world. One UAE-based label is heading to the British fashion capital next month to showcase its designs at the biannual event, after winning a prestigious local competition. Womenswear brand Three Fifty Nine was this week announced as the champion of the Dubai Design & Fashion Council and FAD Institute of Luxury, Fashion & Style Dubai’s prize, which will see the label head to London for an exciting showcase.

The ready-to-wear line, helmed by Egyptian designer Marwa Sayed, will display its designs at Fashion Scout, an independent platform for creative and international designers held during London Fashion Week. Three Fifty Nine will present its Spring 2019 collection at the showcase, held between September 14 and 17, an opportunity that Sayed calls a “dream come true”. “It’s an incredible platform for emerging designers to present their collections at London Fashion Week and I am overjoyed to be amongst the designers showcasing at the renowned event,” the creative director said. Fashion Scout has previously helped launch talents such as Peter Pilotto, David Koma, and Eudon Choi.

Six designers were shortlisted for the prize, with a judging committee selecting Three Fifty Nine as the overall winner. The label, which launched in 2015, has previously shown at Fashion Forward Dubai, and is due to also take part in New York Fashion Week next year, marking a stratospheric rise to success for a relatively new brand. The label’s truly wearable Fall 2018 collection is an ode to graphic prints, imagined in clean, modern lines and fluid silhouettes. With a focus on vibrant color and unique finishes, Sayed has previously revealed the label was born from her love of art – in fact, the designer frequently collaborates with local artists to create custom prints for her collections. We can’t wait to see what Three Fifty Nine pulls out of its hat for Spring 2019.
