Superstar Colombian actor Sofia Vergara is the new face of the Dolce & Gabbana Devotion bag, part of its Spring 2020 campaign. Pulsing with energy, it displays glamour, radiance, and the iconic Italian seaside as pictured from beautiful Portofino. With tousled hair and a red pout, Vergara lounges in a Dolce & Gabbana dress, clutching her Devotion bag appearing disarming and full of life. “Sofia Vergara perfectly embodies the Dolce & Gabbana woman: beautiful, sunny, and feminine. The shots of the new campaign are illuminated by her smile and energy!” exclaim Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.

This, however, isn’t just another advertising campaign, but one devoted to a cause. A portion of proceeds from the online sales of the Devotion bag through Dolce & Gabbana e-commerce will be donated to Humantias University to aid its global health initiatives.
From the beginning of the spread of the global pandemic Covid-19, Dolce & Gabbana announced it would work together with Humanitas University to strengthen its efforts towards scientific research benefiting global health.
“The whole world and all of our lives will never be the same again. We truly hope that all of this will lead to a rebirth, and want to do our part so that all of us, especially future generations, can one day benefit from these fundamental scientific discoveries,” state the designers.
“Dolce&Gabbana has been proactive since the very beginning in support of scientific research to fight against Coronavirus, even before it was a global emergency,” confirms Roberto Cagliero, Director of Fundraising of Humanitas. “Thanks to their donation, a dedicated team led by Professor Alberto Mantovani at Humanitas University, in collaboration with the virologists of Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele, is working on an
expansive research project studying the responses of our natural defenses to Coronavirus, in an effort to lay the basis for the development of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. Together we are working towards a resolution to this global problem.”
