It’s a label beloved by stars including Blake LivelyTaylor Swift, and Gigi Hadid, and now it’s even easier for shoppers around the world to get their hands on SemSem. The luxury womenswear brand, founded by Abeer Al Otaiba, has just made its debut on Net-a-Porter, launching with exclusive pieces from its Resort 2019 collection.

Al Otaiba, who is the wife of the UAE Ambassador to the United States, took inspiration from her home country of Egypt for the line, which reimagines the glitzy Studio 54, if it were located in the North African country. Cue 80s-infused metallics, exaggerated silhouettes, and decadent touches of plissé-lamé, juxtaposed against fluid lines, layered velvet tunics, and pleated wide-leg pants. The jewel-toned jumpsuits in particular meld retro and contemporary sensibilities, while draped asymmetric blouses promise to effortlessly transport you from day to after-dark.

“The brand was created to embrace and celebrate the fashion-forward elegance of women around the world who are challenged to strike a balance between expressing their culture and creative identity,” Al Otaiba told Vogue.me. “We are proud to be bridging this gap with SemSem, as a luxury brand with a conscience deeply rooted in its Middle Eastern heritage. It is very rewarding to hit this new milestone as we join a growing line-up of Arab-led, ready-to-wear brands being recognized by platforms like Net-A-Porter, which connect us to an international audience.”

Well, we know what we’ll be wearing this festive party season.
