“This is a moment for all of us to come together and act as a community regardless of where we are from,” states Racil Chalhoub. “The world is hurting and so many people and countries need help. I might not relate to Peru directly, but my good friend Jacques Burga does, which means I do too. We have to support each other. “Chalhoub is one of several designers, alongside Amina Muadi, Sandra Mansour, Lady Amelia Windsor, Diane Von Furstenberg, Assouline, Tata Harper, and Esteban Cortazar, and more, who are donating to an online charity fair organized by fashion photographer Jacques Burga and fashion entrepreneur Lucia Picasso. The auction includes pieces of art, fashion, beauty, jewelry, and lifestyle and aims to raise funds for Unicef in Peru. 100% of profits will go towards children and families impacted by the coronavirus. “Covid-19 has had a universal effect on all our lives,” nods Mansour. “We wanted to be a part of an event that gives back.” As for Von Furstenberg, along with her sister Greta Halfin, the owner of the DVF stores in Belgium, she is offering a voucher worth 500 Euros to be spent at one of her DVF boutiques.

“This is a moment for all of us to come together and act as a community, regardless of where we are from,” states Burga. “It’s time to see beyond from our own space, work status, or routine, and help donate, as much as we can, to people in need in our own regions.” The online charity will take place on 32actions.com website on June 15th, lasting an entire week. A silent auction, each lot will start at US$100 with a minimum $50 increase per bid. All shipments will be organized once the auction is over, at no extra cost.
