Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Eissa Al Mana. “Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably,” her publicist stated. The Grammy-winning star, who married Qatari business magnate Al Mana in 2012, took to Twitter with a video back in April to announce that she was taking a break from her world tour Unbreakable as there had been “a sudden change.” In the clip, she thanked her crew and fans before adding, “Please, if you can, try and understand that it’s important that I do this now.”

The 50-year-old kept a low profile during the duration of her pregnancy and did not officially announce that she was expecting until early October. The youngest sibling of the Jackson clan and sister to the late Michael Jackson is known for her chart-topping hits, including Rhythm Nation, That’s The Way Love Goes, and Escapade. In addition to her musical career, Jackson launched a line of fine jewelry that she unveiled in Dubai. Named Unbreakable, the diamond-laden collection was designed in partnership with Paul Raps New York.

Congratulations to the new parents!
