It’s most dazzling, intricate designs are most commonly seen on runways and red carpets, but now Fendi has brought a selection of its haute couture designs to Dubai to celebrate the opening of its new boutique. The Italian label has recently unveiled an opulent new store in The Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue, that boasts men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, accessories, and buttery-soft leather goods.
Located on the first floor of the light-filled atrium, the boutique has been designed to reflect Fendi’s brand DNA, with features such as an iconic display wall made up of more than 20,000 hand-placed spikes, helping elevating the label’s bags to trophy status. A focus on architectural expertise results in a blend of elegant yet avant-garde décor, with a sofa by Jasper Morrison, tables designed by Cristina Celestino, and a peg wall installation, designed by Dimore Studio.

To mark the boutique’s opening, Fendi is hosting an in-store couture exhibition, with embellished gowns artfully encased in glass boxes, allowing shoppers to get an up-close glimpse of the work that goes into such creations. Special-edition pieces have also been designed for the opening, with nine exotic Peekaboo bags crafted for The Dubai Mall boutique.
