Summer is almost here and so is Disney’s latest live action, Aladdin. The film, starring Will Smith as the Genie, Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine and Mena Massoud in the titular role, was partially shot in Jordan’s Wadi Rum and befittingly saw the cast and crew return to the country for the film’s premiere.
Hosted by HRH Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, the premiere at Amman saw Scott looking like royalty in an Armani Privé gown. “For this occasion, I decided to enhance her figure with a custom-made Giorgio Armani Privé gown in a bright and romantic red, embellished with tulle frills and crystal embroidery,” Mr Armani told Vogue.me. The custom outfit included a long-sleeved bodysuit covered in crystals and paired with crystal-embroidered flounce skirt of red pleated tulle. Scott kept the rest of her look simple with a sleek bun and winged eyeliner.
The designer added, “Naomi Scott is young, enthusiastic and full of character. I met her a few years ago in London when her career was just beginning to take off, and she impressed me with her vivacity and her modern, contemporary spirit. I was sure she would go a long way, and I’m delighted to see her grow and mature.”
Aladdin releases in cinemas worldwide on May 24.
