A white suit may be demure and unassuming, but leave it to popstars Nancy Ajram and Jennifer Lopez to put a stylish spin on it. In the past couple of days, both singers opted for monochrome outfits that made a strong case for modest wear.
First up, Ajram took to her social media page to share glimpses of a recent photo shoot, in which she wore an oversized white pantsuit. Picked from Valentino’s Rendez-Vous Collection, the Lebanese singer’s three-piece look came with a double-breasted jacket worn with the sleeves rolled up, a cropped button-up, and trousers with flared bottoms. The mother-of-three paired the suit with dainty gold jewelry and looked every bit the pop sensation while posing in the statement piece for the shoot.

The same week also saw Jennifer Lopez make headlines for swapping her “naked” Tom Ford dress for an all-white suit. Attending the afterparty for her newly-released Netflix documentary Halftime, Lopez too wore an oversized double-breasted jacket with flared trousers, but paired it with a V-neck top instead. While Ajram’s footwear was hidden under the wide-leg pants, Lopez’s glittering silver platform pumps were sure to peek through. As for her glam for the evening, the 52-year-old singer sported the same slicked back half ponytail from the premiere, with a golden bronze smoky eye and glossy nude lips.

If the looks seem familiar, it’s because Meghan Markle was spotted wearing a slouchy white Valentino suit at the 2022 Invictus Games in April too. Given the fact that Markle, Ajram, and Lopez are all known to offer sartorial inspiration in their own right, their pick of white suits must only mean that it’s time to invest in one if you haven’t already.
