The theme of the 2024 Vogue Ball of Arabia—Mermaids of the Gulf—offered plenty of room for sartorial inspiration. While the grand event’s blue carpet witnessed some outfits with maximalist iterations featuring pearls and embellishments, others went the subtle route. Lebanese actor Nadine Nassib Njeim opted for the latter, however, her look for Arabia’s biggest fashion night did come with a playful detail.

Hosted at Dubai’s Atlantis the Royal in partnership with Hongqi, Amaffi and Komos, the Vogue Ball of Arabia saw several stars bring their A-game to the red carpet. Designed by Lebanese couturier Rami Kadi, Nassib Njeim’s gown came with layers upon layers of dazzling tassels—from the strapless neckline down to the hem. Complementing the theme, the dress featured iridescent hues of silver, pink, and blue, which resembled the ocean at sunset, straight out of a magical fantasy. Stylist Cedric Haddad paired the dreamy number with Aquazzura heels, a royal blue Tyler Ellis clutch, and a Bulgari choker adorned with a gleaming blue gemstone. The star also embraced a bold take on mermaid hair, and ditched waves for sleek long locks which celebrity hairstylist Deena Alawaid styled into a ponytail perched on top of her head. Products from Nassib Njeim’s very own upcoming beauty line rounded out her makeup look, which featured metallic smokey eyes and a nude lip.

Speaking to Vogue Arabia on the blue carpet, Nassib Njeim expressed her joy over the Mermaids of the Gulf theme, saying that she finds it very feminine and beautiful. “I always, always feel special to be among you all,” she added. The night also saw Nassib Njeim make her Vogue Ball of Arabia debut with fiancé Nareg Narbekian. The couple got engaged in 2023 when Narbekian proposed to the actor on her birthday.
