Myriam Fares celebrated her fifth wedding anniversary on Wednesday. The Lebanese singer took to Instagram to share the occasion’s photos with her 13.6 million followers which showed her holding a bouquet of flowers, and dressed in a delicate wedding gown.
“Celebrating 5 years of love and happiness, yesterday we reaffirmed our wedding vows in the most exciting and unusual way,” she captioned the photos. Fares married Lebanese businessman Dani Metri in August 2014 in secret, and later published video footage from her wedding which was held in the presence of limited family members. In 2016 she gave birth to their child Jayden and has since kept his photos from the public eye.
Last year the star made a return to the music industry after a hiatus of 6 months due to illness. Upon her return, Fares released a music video for her song Goumi and thanked her fans via Instagram for their support. “The past period was a very important stage in my life. I was afraid. I cried. I was falling apart. Your love and thoughts surrounded me with all the positivity in the world and I stood up again,” she wrote. Since then the star has held many public concerts, including the Mawazine Festival and the Dubai Global Village concert.
