Monroe is clearly a muse for the designer as he now takes a classic image of the silver screen star and applies it to his collaboration with Longchamp for the new Spring 2017 Le Pliage Travel L bag. Longchamp‘s cult classic bag, Le Pliage, has many different guises, including the Le Plaige Cuir (the super-soft leather editions), the urbane nylon collection, and limited-edition lines that refresh each season. Inspired by origami folds, the clever bag can be wrapped up into a take-anywhere tote and opened out for all of your travel or city-hopping purchases. For Spring 2017, the creative director of Moschino and his namesake label, Jeremy Scott, has released his spin on the Le Pliage nylon bag with an iconic image of Marilyn Monroe peeking through “As Seen on TV” graphics in a bold cherry red. The limited-edition collapsible bag has all the hallmarks of Scott’s kooky design signature, with the Longchamp stamp of craftmanship (leather handles, branded zip, and roomy interior). It’ll certainly prove to be a summery antidote to a dark wardrobe and be a poolside conversation starter to boot.
