Mulberry’s Autumn Winter 2019 collection is a dual celebration of individual style and the lively community culture of the British pub. By combining the signature British style with the individuality of the modern woman, the luxury brand seeks to reinvent your wardrobe. The collection features updated classics, heritage tailored suiting, and rivet-studded accessories in a range of prints and an innovative color palette, with stand-out pieces for every woman.
In a statement, Mulberry Creative Director Johnny Coca said, “Since joining Mulberry, I’ve sought inspiration from diverse facets of British history and culture; always with the intent to make people rethink what has come before. I’ve enjoyed playing with the eccentric, but this season, my focus was simple: to create building blocks for a modern British wardrobe. Pieces which reflect both who women are and who they want to be.”
A significant part of the collection is Mulberry’s new key accessory, the Keeley, a shoulder bag which features in two sizes as well as a more structured satchel incarnation. Nods to British architecture and masonry are seen on the handbags through their hardware, the new Keystone Lock, which also references the punk elements of the collection through its stud shape and detachable hanging chain.
With the launch of a personalization collection this season, Mulberry invites customers to truly make the collection their own. With the spirit of individual style at its core, the range will feature enamel letter charms, leather letter stickers, and keyrings to add personal touches to the brand’s bags.
For the new season campaign, Coca looked to the location where British communities come together. The British pub becomes the backdrop for Mulberry’s latest campaign to emanate the sense of community and inclusivity shared by these national institutions. “The pub seemed like the perfect landscape to explore this concept: an everyday venue that frequently witnesses grand futures planned and unforgettable presents unfold,” explained Coca.
