H&M’s 2018 Designer Collaboration is With Moschino

Jeremy Scott, Ann-Sofie Johansson, and Gigi Hadid.

Moschino is H&M’s 2018 designer collaboration partner. The news was revealed on Saturday night with the help of an Instagram live call by Gigi Hadid at Jeremy Scott’s 11th annual star-studded Coachella party. The line, entitled Moschino [tv] H&M, is set to hit shelves on November 8th, with a price tag that ranges from approximately US $25 to $300.

The collection is set to feature both womenswear (45 pieces), menswear (20 pieces), plus women’s and men’s accessories. “There’s a silver sequined parka dress,” says Scott to Vogue US. “Denim pieces are all twisted into something else. Puffers and jackets are reconfigured into cropped things or double-long things. There’s a sportswear-with-evening kind of feeling, like a hockey jersey with a train. Sometimes I reconfigure something from the history, but sometimes it’s perfect as is.”

Though details on what to expect are under wraps, Scott reveals that he’s bringing back the luxury Italian label’s famed biker bag. “We’re doing the tiniest biker bag ever. I love it. It could be a necklace. It could just hold a lighter, or nothing. I tried it for Moschino, but we didn’t produce it, and I was like, ‘She’s the one that gets to come back.’”

The Swedish retail giant’s designer collaboration series is now in its 14th year. Each year, fashion fanatics anticipate news of the retailer’s newest designer collaboration, the first of which was with Karl Lagerfeld in 2004. Meanwhile, Jeremy Scott, is no stranger to high-low brand collaborations— who can forget the hotly-coveted Adidas collab? If his past collections are any indication, we can expect playful graphics  and witty slogans plastered onto sweatshirts, dresses, and accessories, that will undoubtedly find themselves in the wardrobes of the brand’s A-list following including Katy Perry, Kaia Gerber, and Rihanna.

The Moschino [tv] H&M collection will be available on H&M’s e-commerce sites and in select H&M stores worldwide on November 8.
