2018 has certainly been Hailey née Baldwin‘s year – featuring a surprise engagement and a whirlwind marriage to pop sensation Justin Bieber – and she’s seeing out her meteoric 12 months on the cover of Vogue Arabia. The 22-year-old model is the face of our December issue, personifying the edition’s theme of minimalism meets maximalism with her delicate features adorned with lashings of pink shadow and glimmering gloss. A dual, stripped-back, black-and-white cover highlights the star’s fine bone structure, with her 10-carat engagement ring reflecting off her seemingly makeup-free skin.

However, don’t confuse thousands of media headlines dedicated to her name and numerous magazine covers with a desire for fame– in fact, the star actively shuns the spotlight. “I spend increasingly less time on social media,” the newlywed reveals in an accompanying interview. “This has helped me balance everything that comes with this life.” Indeed, even though Bieber was born into Hollywood royalty as the daughter of Stephen Baldwin and niece of actors Alec and Daniel, she doesn’t feel like she was raised as a stereotypical celebrity offspring.

“I got to have a normal childhood and teenage years. I didn’t start getting recognition on my own until I was around 19,” the model muses. “There are some ‘normal’ things I never did – like go to college – but I do think I was able to learn how to have a schedule, be on time, and be responsible, all because I started working at 17.” But could the industry thoroughbred, who scored her first fashion campaign in 2014 for French Connection, be preparing to step back from the limelight any time soon? The model opens up about her dream to start a family in our all-encompassing interview, though reveals the Bieber empire is not set to expand “any time soon.”
