As a catwalk star, Bella Hadid is used to routinely jetting around the world for work – but her latest trip was particularly fleeting. The half-Palestinian model this week spent just a single day in South Korea, however Hadid certainly didn’t waste her short but sweet visit. The 21-year-old took to Instagram to share snippets of her flying 24-hour visit with her 18 million followers, after touching down at a bleary-eyed 5am.
Hadid was in the East Asian nation to help launch the Dior Backstage Collection, an inclusive range “inspired by makeup artists’ must-haves”, according to Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup, Peter Philips. For the exclusive bash, held in Seoul, Hadid wore a dusky pink Christian Dior cape dress, along with some seriously luminescent skin courtesy of Dior’s Backstage Glow Face Palette. Pulling her newly-long locks off her face into a half-up ‘do, the model’s understated hair perfectly showcased the gown delicate texture and demure ruffled neck.
Launch party aside, Hadid also took a little time to explore the city, which is the capital of South Korea. Along with photographer Alana O’Herlihy and PR whiz Fanny Bourdette-Donon, the model explored the Wangsimni area of Seoul, according to her Instagram, in which she snapped a mind-bending selfie in a street mirror. Wearing a yellow vinyl mini skirt, biker boots, band tee, and beanie, the runway icon demonstrated how to achieve a retro-luxe-meets-grunge aesthetic.
Before she departed the city, Hadid shared an Instagram Story snapshot of her suitcase as she headed to the airport, revealing a few fruits of her Seoul shopping spree. What made the supermodel cut? A couple of bags of Skittles, and a wealth of Korean sheet masks (including Dr Jart+’s Ceramidin mask and Firming Rubber Mask). In a bid to replicate her flawless complexion, we know what we’ll be picking up at Sephora this weekend…
