Four cities, hundreds of shows, numerous hair and makeup looks, and quick change after quick change. So how do models unwind when fashion month finishes? From a trip to Disney World, to enjoying a few home comforts, here is what some of the season’s most familiar faces look forward to doing off the catwalk.
“When Paris finishes, I’m going to Disney World and Universal Studios in Florida with my sister and brother for two weeks. It’s my favorite place in the world, and I’m not the sort of person to sit in bed for a week after shows resting. I’m going to be up from 6am until 1am going through scary houses at Halloween horror nights, whilst eating churros! After shows I just eat a burger and sleep, then I’m good as new.”
“After fashion month I most want to be at home with my family and dog. I’m definitely looking forward to my own bed! I’m currently building a website for my photography so I’m excited to get that finished too. Where I relax in between shows is top secret! However, sitting in a coffee shop with a book is always a good plan. Fashion week can be exhausting, but it’s also a great time to hang out with friends. We are all very supportive of each other and having a quiet dinner in a group is the perfect way to unwind after a busy day of shows and castings.”
“I’m focused right now and my goal when fashion month finishes is to continue working on amazing projects with great photographers and designers. During the shows, depending what city I’m in, I love to check out the shopping, restaurants and sites before I head home. I’m a thrill seeker and I love to be social. I try to check out as much as possible. Once shows are over, I’ll only have time to unwind on the plane – pretty sure I’m shooting a campaign right after my last show. And I’ll be hydrating and moisturizing on repeat!”
“Most of all, I wanna go back to New York as quick as possible! I am so excited to travel this year, but first I think I need a week of home time in Sweden. My favorite place is in the stable, with my horses. I am always the most relaxed when I am there. It’s so quiet and peaceful. You can’t get that feeling anywhere else. I need to sleep as much as I can and eat well. And use a lot of good hair and face products…”
“When fashion month finishes I will be back in Epsom, Surrey (my home town). I want to see my family, and hopefully rest before I go back into it. I also need to write my personal statement for university, so I can apply for archaeology and anthropology! I like to go on dog walks in places in Surrey such as Abinger. It’s always super quiet and peaceful. It’s nice to just go on a walk and not have to be worrying about your next casting.”
