The third iteration of the Miu Miu Select has officially begun, taking flight from within the region this time. For its first stop, the Italian fashion house tapped Dana Hourani to curate a special wardrobe from Miu Miu’s latest season. The Lebanese singer unveiled the pieces in Dubai on May 26, carefully selected from the brand’s ready-to-wear, bag, shoe, jewelry, and eyewear collections, and all customized with a dedicated tag.
Those who keep up with the ‘Ensanein’ singer would know that Hourani’s personal style is her own spin on girl-next-door fashion, putting Miu Miu’s disruptive and individualistic pieces right up her alley. Titled Day Night, her Miu Miu Select wardrobe includes “elevated, everyday pieces that stand out” such as tops with cool details, mini skirts, co-ord sets, and It girl accessories like platforms, colorful hair clips with the brand’s logo, and the coveted mini Miu Wander in a range of fun hues. Hourani describes her capsule as “elegant, fun, and playful,” and goes on to share, “The Day Night Collection is where daywear is merged with eveningwear. This collection is for the self-expressive, it’s for the free-spirited, regardless of age and it’s for the forever young at heart.”
Among the friends of the fashion house who have been enlisted for previous editions of Miu Miu Select are Alexa Chung, Lila Moss, Jessica Kahawaty, Georgia May Jagger, and Chloë Sevigny. After its first appointment in Dubai, the series will make stops in Singapore, Milan, and Tokyo.
