Yesterday, Arab talent took Cannes Film Festival by storm, with more than a handful of noteworthy names from the region coming together by the French Riviera for a very special dinner. Joining the likes of Hend Sabri, Tara Emad and Razane Jammal were Vogue Arabia’s co-cover stars from January 2022, Fatima AlBanawi and Mila Al Zahrani. And while AlBanawi made heads turn in a bold tangerine gown, Al Zahrani made sure to spotlight Saudi creativity with her evening look.

Dressed in classic black, Mila Al Zahrani  proved that the color is an all-time favorite for a reason. For her night out, the actor went with a whimsical creation by Saudi Arabia’s Atelier Hekayat, helmed by Alia and Abeer Oraif. The gown in question came with a simple scooped neckline and a beautifully sculpted silhouette that draped across Al Zahrani’s torso before flaring out in a subtle mermaid shape. The drama, however, came via the ruffled add-on. Take a closer look below.

Mila Al Zahrani styled her Atelier Hekayat gown with Boucheron jewelry

To cut through Mila Al Zahrani’s all-black look, the Atelier Hekayat gown came with a ruffled stole that was draped across the actor’s arms. Comprising of layers of black and white fabric, the added element brought just the right amount of drama to her ensemble, without seeming over the top. While Al Zahrani did some extra sparkle to her look via her diamond Boucheron earrings, she kept her beauty look simple, tying her ebony locks back into a low ponytail and sticking with a tried-and-tested makeup combination: glowing skin, a hint of blush, and rosy lips.
