The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle accompanied her husband Prince Harry to Morocco this week. During the three-day visit, the pregnant royal is conforming to the North African country’s traditions. Yesterday, Markle partook in a henna ceremony to celebrate her pregnancy, while on a visit to a girls’ boarding house run by Education For All in the town of Asni in the Atlas mountains.

Then, after meeting with local schoolchildren and teachers, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their way back to Rabat for a intimate reception hosted by the British Ambassador to Morocco Thomas Reilly, and his wife, Leah, at the British Residence. For the occasion, Markle wore a cream-colored, form-fitting custom Dior kaftan, that hugged her growing baby bump. The flowy, bespoke design featured long, draped sleeves, and she accessorized the look with gold jewelry, pumps, and a satin clutch, also from Dior. She completed the look with a sleek, center parted updo and a swipe of nude lipstick. It’s not the first time the American royal pays tribute to the country through her sartorial choices — she arrived to Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport on Saturday wearing a red, long-sleeved dress that served as a subtle, sartorial nod to Morocco’s flag.

Markle has had a busy couple of weeks. The Morocco visit, which is her last before she steps away from her royal duties in preparation of the arrival of baby Sussex, comes just days after her whirlwind New York trip that saw her celebrate her baby shower with close friends Amal Clooney and Serena Williams. The former Suits actress, who traveled to the North African country at the request of HM Queen Elizabeth and on behalf of the U.K. government, is no doubt about to get even busier ahead of her upcoming move to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor with Prince Harry.
