Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are back in London this week after announcing that they are stepping back from the royal family. Since the news broke in January, the couple has kept a low profile in Canada, though they returned to the U.K. to complete their final royal duties. Last night, they made an appearance at the Mountbatten Music Festival, an event at the Royal Albert Hall that features military musicians and raises money for the Royal Marines Association.

For the evening of music, Markle continued her winning style streak. She wore a stunning red dress by Safiyaa with a shoulder cape and draped back detail. It was more sculptural silhouette than Markle typically gravitates towards—the form-fitting Victoria Beckham she wore a few days ago is a prime example of her classic aesthetic. Even still, it struck the right balance between elegant and unexpected, no easy feat when you consider the conventions of royal protocol.

To give the ensemble even more wow factor, she paired the colorful frock with matching red accessories, including red suede pumps, a satin Manolo Blahnik clutch, and dangly gem earrings by Simone Rocha (she’s always been known to support English designers). Prince Harry, meanwhile, who is Captain General of the Royal Marines, wore a red uniform decorated with medals from his tours in Afghanistan. Together, the Duke and Duchess cemented their status as one of the most regal and best-dressed House of Windsor couples in history.
