Meghan Markle is embracing florals for spring in her own, chic way.
After sticking to solid hues for most of her life in the spotlight, Meghan Markle recently showed love to florals through not one, but two back-to-back looks. The Duchess of Sussex paid a visit to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles last week, where she held a Literally Healing session reading out stories to the kids.
Heartwarming snippets of her visit shared by the hospital see Meghan interacting and posing for pictures with children, and animatedly channeling the book characters in her engaging storytelling time. “Children were laughing and singing as The Duchess turned into character with every page as she read patient-favorite books like Rosie the Riveter, Pete the Cat and I Saw a Cat,” read a statement from the hospital. The mother-of-two, who is no stranger to dressing appropriately for occasions, opted for brighter hues than her usual neutrals. Her outfit of choice featured a modest white Carolina Herrera shirt dress, which came with sheer full-length sleeves, and a multicolored floral print at the bottom. Meghan paired the breezy number with a pair of black, sensible yet stylish Aquazzura flats, and small gold earrings. She also wore her hair down in effortless waves, parted down the middle, and swept to the side, while sporting voluminous lashes as a mask covered the rest of her face.
Meghan’s joy-inducing look follows another outfit that also leaned away from her affinity for solid-colored pieces. Last week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex hosted a special event honoring The Kinsey African American Art and History Collection, for which Meghan wore a black Carolina Herrera caped jacket with floral embroidery all over. The 42-year-old paired it with black trousers and matching suede flats, while Prince Harry complemented her in a black suit with a white open-collared shirt.
