Meghan Markle has added a new item to her list of coveted accessories with a keychain that is no less than extraordinary.
The Duchess of Sussex’s style is known for its influential power, as it leads to everything from dresses and shoes to bags and hats being sold out minutes after she has worn them in public. Then it’s no surprise that for Meghan Markle, even something as small as a keychain speaks volumes of her personality, and has quickly taken over the internet.
The duchess was recently spotted leaving a new bookstore named Godmothers near her Montecito home in California, with a white Anya Hindmarch keychain linked to the car keys in her hand. In the photos, the mother-of-two can be seen in a casual ensemble consisting of a navy blue sweater, a wide-brimmed straw hat, and her gold Cartier Juste un Clou necklace. The leather keychain by British designer Anya Hindmarch comes in a matchbook shape, with a positive reminder to ‘Take What You Need’ embossed on the front. Inside the “matchbook” are “matches” with uplifting words like “hugs”, “a hand”, “love”, “calm”, “a friend”, “patience”, “a smile”, and “an ear” written on them.

Earlier this weekend, Meghan attended the opening of the same bookstore alongside Oprah Winfrey. At the event, she thanked the space’s founders, “for not just creating the space, but for holding the space for so many people to feel seen through the pages, either in laughter, in grief, in feeling less alone”. Meghan and Prince Harry also attended the friends and family event of the bookstore, where its ‘Our Local Authors’ display features the Duke of Sussex’s best-selling memoir, Spare, and Meghan’s 2021 children’s book, The Bench.
