Margot Robbie has navigated awards season with the ease of a seasoned professional. Her stylistic approach to the press tour for her latest film, Birds of Prey, has been no different. The Australian actor has successfully switched between storied houses like Chanel and cult labels like Ganni with ease. Now, in the space of 24 hours, Robbie has served up three noteworthy fashion looks in New York City, including two very modest yet chic ensembles.

The Australian actor – who reprises her role as the anti-hero Harley Quinn from 2016’s Suicide Squad in BoP – wore a draped Proenza Schouler pre-fall 2020 dress for an appearance on Good Morning America. Robbie accentuated the high-neck bibbed design with a pair of square-toed black heeled boots.

Come the afternoon, Robbie made an outfit change to join hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Meghan McCain on set for TV show, The View. Steered by stylist Kate Young, she shrugged a rust-coloured Acne Studios coat over a cropped white blouse and black leather trousers from Warsaw-based brand Magda Butrym. Robbie completed her look with white Sarah Flint heels and a pair of Jennifer Fisher gold hoops.

Robbie rounded off the day in Alexandre Vauthier haute couture. The actor – who was joined by co-stars Ewan McGregor, Rosie Perez and Jurnee Smollett-Bell for the event in Manhattan’s Times Square – wore a tuxedo with a navel-gazing neckline and an embellished floral corsage. The accessory, which fellow actor Emma Corrin and Victoria Beckham have worn recently, is quickly becoming a trend – along with Old Hollywood-inspired opera gloves.

With the Oscars 2020 a few days away, Robbie looks on course to serve up, yet again, another notable look on the red-carpet at the industry’s biggest night of the year.
