This week has been a special one for Mahira Abdelaziz, who celebrated her latest project last night in true movie star fashion. For the big moment, the actor wore a statement-making white gown that’s worth bookmarking if you have a big event coming up this winter. Take a closer look at it below.
In case you missed it, Emirati-Egyptian star Mahira Abdelaziz was in Saudi Arabia last night. The occasion: the launch of the very first Saudi Arabian TV series that has been adapted from a Turkish drama. Titled Autumn of the Heart, the show will see Abdelaziz play the role of Elaf. “This project brought together a group of actors who I don’t only love as friends, but whose work and creativity I also admire,” she shared on Instagram last night.
To introduce the world to her much-awaited new role, Abdelaziz stepped out in Riyadh dressed in a creamy white gown that had all the makings of the perfect Christmas celebration look. Designed by Faraz Manan, the strapless ivory number came in a mermaid cut, skimming over the star’s curves before flaring out elegantly towards the hem. Adding structure to the gown were vertical rows of crystals that glimmered as she walked the red carpet. But that’s not all. To really make her ensemble pop, the star layered it with a long sheer cape doused in intricate bead and sequin work in shades of silver and gold. Sitting on her shoulders, the sheer piece revealed her gown in the front, and draped along her sides and back to create an interesting visual that brought structure and fluidity together.
Diamonds, of course, were a natural choice with this look. Mahira Abdelaziz’s white gown was styled with sparkling statement rings, as well as dainty cluster earrings. To keep with the luminous aesthetic, the actor chose a glowy beauty look, drawing attention to her cheekbones with a generous dose of highlighter, and rounding things out with rosy blush and a matching pink lip color. A classic Hollywood bob added the final touch.
If you love the billowing cape silhouette that Mahira Abdelaziz just gave her thumbs up to, why not add something similar to your own closet? Below, three gowns worth bookmarking for the festive season.
