On August 28, the UAE will celebrate its fourth annual Emirati Women’s Day, a celebration of the achievements and contributions of the nation’s females. And this year, you can wear your pride front and center, thanks to one Emirati designer. Madiyah Al Sharqi has joined forces with The Modist to create a capsule collection of shirts to celebrate the occasion, with each piece emblazoned with a positive proclamation.

The limited-edition, long-sleeved tees come embroidered with one of three slogans: Fearless Woman, Incredible Woman, and Empowered Woman, printed in both English and Arabic. The SAR/AED 300 creation exclusively launched on the luxury modest fashion e-tailer’s site this week, just in time to mark the moment. Emirati Women’s Day was first launched by HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak in a bid to celebrate the growth and progress of the UAE’s females, as well as their role in the development and advancement of the country.

Dubai-based designer HH Sheikha Madiyah Al Sharqi wanted to pay homage to that ethos in her minimal creations, which say so much in so few characters. “We have always been a progressive and supportive community, and it makes me proud that women today are more empowered than ever to pursue what they are passionate about,” the designer, who is the daughter of the ruler of Fujairah, told Vogue.me. “My hope is that celebrating Emirati Women’s Day continues to inspire more breakthroughs among all women in the UAE.”

The unveiling of the capsule collection comes just days after Al Sharqi’s eponymous label, which first launched in 2012, added another A-list client to its star-studded roster. Actor and singer Vanessa Hudgens stepped out in a metallic striped two-piece by the brand this week, as she recorded an episode of So You Think You Can Dance. The star, who acts as a judge on the talent show, teamed the Spring 2018 strapless bodice and wide-leg pants with sleek, side-swept locks. The label also counts Dana HouraniLana El SahelyAlessandra Ambrosio, Lorde, and Sofia Richie among its fans – with plenty more of Hollywood’s most iconic faces sure to join that list in coming months, in our humble opinion.

Madiyah Al Sharqi’s Emirati Women’s Day capsule collection can be purchased at themodist.com from August 26.
