Louis Vuitton has unveiled its Ramadan capsule collection exclusively with Vogue Arabia, and it includes, for the first time, a ready-to-wear line for the occasion. The luxury French fashion house’s dedicated offering for the season has solely been annual capsules of shoes and leather goods up until this year.

Reflecting “prosperity, peace, and love”, the color palette of the collection is built around emerald green, which is also often associated with the Islamic month. Its three key elements—lace, broderie anglaise, and polka dots—take on Louis Vuitton’s signature silhouettes with a focus on modest design for the region. Think, a silk mousseline polka-dotted pajama set in green and black colorways ideal for suhoor, or a layered dress and an embroidered blouse in black silk, perfect for iftar.

Complementing accessories include re-imaginations of the brand’s most iconic handbags. Three out of the five feature Louis Vuitton’s monogram lace pattern from the Spring/Summer 2022 collection rendered in patent leather, while one with a chain-link strap comes with the logo embossed on a solid green bag, and the other incorporates python detailing. Slingback pumps, mules, and boots make up the footwear collection and come in a variety of heel sizes and similar shades of emerald and black to go with the rest of the capsule.

Louis Vuitton is also launching a new fragrance this Ramadan, named Fleur du Désert. Paying tribute to the region’s olfactory heritage, master perfume Jacques Cavallier Belletrud’s creation celebrates three flowers—jasmine, orange blossom, and rose—used in Middle Eastern perfumery for ages.

The Louis Vuitton Ramadan capsule is available exclusively at the brand’s stores across the Middle East from mid-March 2022, while Fleur du Désert fragrance will be available from March 31.
