Throughout the Fall 2016 collections, designers featured shirts with clever twists. We’ve reported on the 15 Innovative Ways to Wear Premium Shirts, so now it’s time to invest in an armoury of these clever tops that prove to be staple pieces season after season. Victoria Beckham’s shirts were accented with freshwater pearl buttons; while Ellery’s long ties encouraged multiple modifications to the silhouette. Christopher Kane applied strategically placed tape to his shirting; and Helmut Lang focused on cut and texture.
