Okay, I’ve said this before, but this time I mean it. Lindsay Lohan is back! I mean, just look at this angel in her chic little Mondrian-adjacent print suit, posing for the paps in New York City with that mile-wide smile. So colorful! So fresh! So bold! If I’m keeping it 100 with you, I’d have serious misgivings about this ’fit on literally anyone else. But on Lohan, I’m so happy to see her that I don’t care.
The Falling for Christmas star’s look for Good Morning America takes the pattern-matching suit trend in an especially vibrant, distinctly ’70s direction. In apparent homage to the leisure suit, the blazer is double-breasted, the trousers are flared wide, and the turtleneck is mock and of indeterminate synthetic fabric. The patchwork pattern of primary red, yellow, orange, and green, meanwhile, is begging for its own display case at the Met Museum (or a particularly sophisticated child’s birthday party).
In her GMA interview, Lohan said that, after taking a decade off acting, being on set again felt “really refreshingly exciting again, which I really needed.” She added that she felt like she needed to feel like she was “craving” being on set again, which she got with this new Netflix film. Plus, she gets to be a producer this time as well. “It’s a whole different world for me all over again, and I’m really loving it,” she said.
You know what I’m finding refreshingly exciting right now? This whole new evolution of Lindsay Lohan.
