How do you hold a stylish wedding in a pandemic? If you’re Lily Allen, you go to Las Vegas. More specifically, you go to the legendary Graceland Chapel with your fiancé David Harbour – best known as Chief of Police Jim Hopper on Stranger Things – and get a renowned Elvis Presley impersonator to sing you down the aisle. No word yet on how Winona Ryder feels about the news.
For the occasion, the 35-year-old wore a vintage belted ’60s-style Dior dress with a pair of suede Miu Miu platforms, carrying a bouquet of mauve and peach roses and baby’s-breath. And for the wedding banquet? Allen shared a joyful photograph of herself biting into an In-N-Out Burger. Harbour’s neat summary of the ceremony: “In a wedding officiated by the king himself, the people’s princess wed her devoted, low born, but kind credit card holder in a beautiful ceremony lit by the ashen skies courtesy of a burning state miles away in the midst of a global pandemic,” he wrote on Instagram. “Refreshments were served at a small reception following.”
Allen and Harbour have been dating for more than a year, attending the SAG Awards together in January. The My Thoughts Exactly author first posted a close-up shot of her engagement ring while on holiday in Capri on 27 July – an oval-cut diamond solitaire with a pavé band. Congrats to 2020 on finally doing something right!
