Lebanese Artist Nada Debs Creates Two Elegant Cases for La Collection Privée

In celebration of Eid al-Adha, Christian Dior has unveiled two remarkable creations in collaboration with Lebanese designer and sculptor Nada Debs — a pair of beautifully crafted cases for La Collection Privée.

Inspired by the distinctive white cases of the fragrant La Collection Privée, Debs relied on the iconic Dior Cannage motif in her designs. The result: two exquisitely sculpted cases that expertly combine walnut wood and mother of pearl with pewter. The cases pay tribute to pewter marquetry and hand-sculpting, and combine the two traditional techniques to create a bridge between tradition and contemporary art. While walnut wood adds weight to the pieces, mother of pearl brings an ethereal, luminous quality to the cases.

“This Dior Cannage to me is a timeless pattern that is reminiscent of the patterns of nature, especially with the intricate weaving pattern, which reflects on the handmade craft feeling.” Nada Debs explained while talking about her cases. The Wooden Cannage Case, a limited edition of which only 1,000 pieces were created, serves as a perfect example of Debs’ ability to combine innovation with tradition.

Each case is a unique piece of art, with the Cannage motif expertly crafted and highlighted by texture and light. Similarly, the Cannage Trinité Nacré case, which is numbered and available in only 20 pieces, is an excellent example of high-quality design that combines walnut wood and mother of pearl in a beautiful blend of colors and shapes.

One look is enough to tell all that these lovingly made cases are more than just containers for La Collection Privée fragrances. Every item honors the tradition of Dior and the passion of its maker. Debs’ diverse background, influenced by her upbringing in Lebanon, Japan, and the United States, shapes her unique design approach. Her work, characterized by meticulous attention to detail and a deep respect for traditional techniques, resonates with a growing audience that values age-old artistry. The collaboration between La Collection Privée and Nada Debs highlights the lasting appeal of handcrafted luxury, and as more consumers look for products with meaningful stories, these cases emerge as symbols of authenticity.

La Collection Privee Christian Dior x Nada Debs Prestige Cases are now available at Christian Dior boutiques.
