Lara Scandar Delivers an Epic Performance — And Fashion Moment — On Celebrity Duets

Celebrity Duets Arab World has brought us some epic fashion moments — remember when Maya Diab wore six show-stopping ensembles for her first appearance on the competition series last month? And last night’s episode was no different. On Sunday, the weekly elimination competition show brought back guest star Lara Scandar, who dazzled audiences and the judges with two performances.

For Scandar’s first performance, the Egyptian singer joined season three contestant Valerie Abou Chacra on stage to sing a rendition of Camila Cabello’s ultra-catchy pop song “Havana”. For the occasion, she wore a white, cotton lace dress from Dior. The romantic ensemble featured a thick, black, waist-cinching belt and flower motifs. She balanced out the feminine look with black, matching boots and a studded choker.

Next, the 28-year-old changed gears and into a black, biker jacket from Elie Saab to perform a cover of Bill Haley and The Comets’s 1955 rock & roll song, “Rock Around the Clock” with Tony Baroud. The singer looked every bit of a rockstar on stage, pairing the embellished leather jacket with a transparent, black top, skin-tight leather trousers, and chunky lace-up combat boots.

It’s not the singer’s first time appearing as a guest on the popular television series. In 2016, she performed “You’re the One I Want” from the Grease soundtrack with Lebanese actor Wissam Saliba.
