There’s never a dull moment with Lady Gaga. The superstar used Memorial Day weekend to debut a series of looks that reflect her current mood as she’s recording in New York. From power suits with a 1980s vibe to sultry party get-ups, she embraced both the outlandish flair that has made her a fashion icon and the pared-down glamour of her Joanne era. For manager Bobby Campbell’s birthday on Monday, she wore a glossy leather dress from Ingorokva in a shade of bright blue. Her crimped and braided hair and bright red lipstick had a retro mood, but the addition of oversized Jennifer Fisher hoops, patent platform boots, and a structured Marc Cross bag kept things modern.
Of course, when you’re Gaga, just one leather outfit isn’t enough. She made a quick change into a black coat from YCH and a pair of Le Specs shades to go almost incognito before pulling out a look that meant business: a double-breasted suit by Mola Walker accessorized by a logo-covered Fendi purse.
Her multiple outfits in 24 hours were just the beginning. With the help of stylists Tom Eerebout and Sandra Amador, the star appears to be on an over-the-top fashion spree. Case in point: this morning’s outfit, a lace-covered Dolce & Gabbana worn complete with headscarf, giant sunglasses, and the attitude of a movie star. And now that fresh music and her first film are on the horizon, Gaga’s best looks may be yet to come.
