The last 48 hours saw a series of celeb-filled events unfold in California, bringing with them a plethora of memorable red-carpet moments. The eventful weekend kicked off on Saturday with the star-studded LACMA Art and Film Gala in Los Angeles that brought together a host of celebrities such as Lana Del Rey, Jared Leto, A$AP Rocky, and Courtney Love, who celebrated alongside A-listers Kim Kardashian West, Elisa Sednaoui, Salma Hayek Pinault, and many more who took to the red carpet wearing their glittering best.
The next day, the NASA Ames Research Center played host to the 2019 Breakthrough Prize, an awards ceremony that recognizes the world’s top scientists. The ceremony was attended by a handful of Oscar winners, including Lupita Nyong’o and Rachel McAdams, who for the occasion sparkled in a sequined gown by Lebanese couturier Rami Kadi. Other Academy Awards winners such as Anne Hathaway and Nicole Kidman were noticeably absent — but for good reason. They were all the way on the opposite end of the state for the 22nd annual Hollywood Film Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
But the festivities weren’t only limited to California. On Sunday, myriad singers, models, and industry insiders made the pilgrimage across the Atlantic to attend the 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards, which took place in Bilbao, Spain. Among the guests at the star-studded event, which was hosted by Hailee Steinfeld, were previous Vogue Arabia cover stars Nicki Minaj and Jourdan Dunn, alongside Camila Cabello, Dua Lipa, and Bebe Rexha dressed to the nines in their Sunday best.
