5 Things You Didn’t Know About Khyeli

Khyeli

Khyeli Spring 2018

Khyeli is an emerging London-based womenswear brand spearheaded by Emirati designer Ahmed Khyeli. The brand, which recently unveiled it’s Spring 2018 collection on Vogue.me, is firmly on the fashion desk’s radar of ones-to-watch. Here, we note five things to know about the label before you start seeing it on red carpets everywhere.

#1. The team at the London HQ is diverse. With British craftsmanship, Italian and French fabrics, an Arab creative director, and international team, the brand is well positioned for global relevance.

#2. The brand is very concerned with giving back to the world and with being one of benefit to others. The brand reallocated resources available for its launch party towards amfAR, which is a charity dedicated to fighting aids and finding a cure to the epidemic.

#3. Even before the brand launched, Khyeli’s dresses made their debut on the red carpets of the Venice Film Festival, attracting global attention from the likes of Marta Pozzan, Valentina Siragusa, and latin American Actress Ana Breco, who all wore pieces from the label.

#4. The 28-year-old Emirati founding designer, was a former architecture student at the American University of Sharjah, which largely influences the brand’s approach. Therefore, construction, proportion, and form are an integral part of the brand’s aesthetic.

#5. The brand has a private, bespoke service, which is exclusive to a select few clients and available through special requests. The service is based in London.
