Three of this generation’s top supermodels Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and Bella Hadid have united as the chosen stars of the Burberry Spring/Summer 2020 campaign, “Evolution”, released today. Donning monochromatic looks of Burberry’s signature hue of beige in contemporary styles, the iconic trio embodies the British heritage brand’s new era under Riccardo Tisci’s leadership. Continuing his journey to build on the unmistakable legacy of the luxury fashion house, the chief creative officer blends fresh, modern pieces touting vast and varied influences with classic motifs that still exude the timeless elegance that catapulted Burberry into the success it is today.
In the SS20 campaign, Tisci heroes tailoring, eveningwear, and, of course, trench coats as well as the signature bags inspired by Thomas Burberry himself, such as the TB Bag and Lola.

“I have been working for a few seasons to define a new identity and visual language for this house,” explained Tisci. “This campaign feels like the beginning and I wanted to celebrate the men and women who represent Burberry – some who have been a long-standing part of my career and others who have started this Burberry journey with me. Together they capture the sophistication and attitude at the heart of the house today.”
As someone who has worked with Tisci for a long time, Jenner has witnessed firsthand the reasons why he is “so special in this industry.” “Working with him is always so creative and fun,” said the Keeping Up with Kardashians star. He has this raw passion, endless energy and creative references which are really infectious when you are on set. Watching what he is doing with Burberry is incredible and it is a joy and privilege to be a part of the journey.’

Bella Hadid shares a similar sentiment, sharing how “it never feels like a workday” whenever she’s collaborating with Tisci. “He took me under his high fashion wing when I was young and now to be able to work with him again for Burberry is a blessing,” said Hadid. “He always knows exactly what look is perfect for each girl and that is why he is the designer that he is. He knows how to bring out the best in all of us.”
Starring alongside Jenner and the Hadid sisters is Karl Lagerfeld-muse Freja Beha Erichsen, SS20 runway favorite Tosin Olajire, Vogue top model Rianne van Rompaey, up-and-coming star Mona Tougaard, and Chinese model He Cong as Burberry’s newest globally diverse female cast.

After being appointed to his prestigious role in March 2018, Tisci has been the mastermind behind a series of widely successful and unity-inducing campaigns including his first holiday campaign last year featuring former Vogue Arabia cover star Ikram Abdi Omar, who became the first hijabi model to ever star in a festive campaign with that shoot.
This may be why Olajire believes Burberry represents “unity, love, acceptance, confidence, and beauty.” “Burberry to me means home,” said the London-based model. “A family I was accepted into, where I feel loved and special.”
